Jack O'Lantern Spinner Card

Hello my crafty peeps!

It's day 4 of my 13 days of Halloween! I hope the Spirit of Halloween is possessing you. In a perfectly harmless way, of course. No need to audition for The Exorcist. Anyone else stay away from split pea soup because of this movie? Lol
Today I have a penny spinner card for you! These are a more advanced style of card. If you're not into precision and patience this is not the card for you. Everything must line up and be positioned correctly for the spinner part to work. But don't let that stop you from watching my video. Someday, Grasshopper, you may wish to challenge your crafty side. Those of you who are ready to accept the challenge...let's get our fingers inky!

Until next time...happy creating!

Haunted House

Hello my Halloween peeps!

Today begins my 13 Days of Halloween! So exciting! Are you ready to get your not-so-scary Halloween on? Awesome! I'm kicking things off with a haunted house made using the Sweet Home bundle from Stampin' Up! This set includes a stamp set and coordinating dies to make 3D mini houses that you can customize for different themes. When I saw this in the catalogue I knew I had to have it. It was the first thing I ordered. I love making little houses!
So without further ado, here's the tutorial. It's a long one so I broke it up into two parts. It was also the first time I had really played with this set so I was learning as I went. And I have my special guest, Ethan, crafting with me!

One Sheet Wonder series

Hello my crafty peeps!

The time has come! The Walrus said...to talk of many things... Sometimes Alice quotes just have a mind of their own. Lol.
Anyway... we've come to the end of the Pop of Pink one sheet wonder series. That's 10 cards in total! I'm thinking of making a coordinating box to store them in. The boxed set would make a great gift. Teachers, hostess, crazy Aunt Betty. So many recipient options.

Start with a piece of 4x5.25 basic black cs. Add on the last 2 2x4 pieces of OSW. Adhere to top and bottom of basic black leaving a small strip of black showing on top and in the middle. Add a piece of Pop of Pink washi tape to frame the middle. Punch out 3 butterflies with the Bitty Butterfly punch from Flirty Flamingo cs. Coat with versamark and add Heat & Stick powder. Heat the powder to melt and activate the adhesive and cover with Dazzling Diamonds glitter. Adhere to middle of card with glue dots. Stamp semtiment in Flirty Flamingo on Whisper White cs and use a label from the Tags and Labels framelit set. Cut out the label the next size up from the sentiment from Flirty Flamingo cs. Sentiment is from Happy Happening stamp set. Add dash marks in basic black and adhere labels together with Snail adhesive. Add to the card with dimensionals. Round all corners and adhere card front to card base.
Et viola! Your card is done!

One Sheet Wonder Series

Hello my crafty peeps!

Today we have another installment of my Pop of Pink one sheet wonder series. This is card #9. I love how graphic the Pop of Pink suite can be. And I love mixing a modern graphic type look with the more traditional mason jar.

I started with an A2 size top folding card made from Whisper White CS. I cut a 4x5.25 piece of Basic Black CS for my card front. I used a corner punch on the top corners of the card and the basic black pieces. I used 2 2x4 pieces from the OSW, adhering them to the basic black piece with Snail adhesive. I stamped all images on Whisper White CS. The mason jar was stamped with Soft Sky, the greenery in Pear Pizzazz and Always Artichoke, the flowers in Blushing Bride, Pink Pirouette, Flirty Flamingo, Melon Mambo, and Peekaboo Peach, bow and sentiment in Blushing Bride, bee in Basic Black archival.  Everything but the bee is from the Jar of Love stamp set and the bee is from Shooting Star. Once everything was stamped I die cut the pieces using the coordinating die sets. That was a bit time consuming and I definitely suggest the magnetic platform to make it a bit easier. I cut out the middle of the jar so I could layer the flowers as if they really in the jar. Having all the layers of the bouquet created dimension so I adhered everything flat with Snail and Tombow. The sentiment was adhered using dimensionals and I added some Melon Mambo 'shadow' with my Stampin' Write pen. Always Artichoke Stampin' Write was used to make the dots. The bee was colored with my Stampin' Write markers and a blender pen.
Et viola! You have finished the next to last card in this series!

Best Fishes card

Hello my crafty peeps!

Are you ready to see me design as I go? Well then this is the tutorial for you! It's been busy in my house and I'm pretty sure I slipped into some time warp that caused me to run short on time. I swear I had time set aside but when I went to find it, it was GONE! Ever have one of those days?
Anywho, here's what I intended to be a quick and simple video but well, I'm in a rambling kind of way. So sit back and enjoy the process. Lol.

One Sheet Wonder

Hello my crafty peeps!
It's time for another installment in our series! This is a continuation of the Pop of Pink DSP.

So here's how it was done:
I started with a standard A2 top fold card base made from Whisper White CS. Then I cut a 4x5.25 card front from Whisper White. Using a piece of a SU sponge I inked the edges with Blushing Bride to give some soft coloring. Cut a delicate doily in half and adhere to opposite ends of the card fromt along the center horizontal line. Add a piece of washi tape from the Pop of Pink set over the center line. Take out the 3 pieces of 1.5x2 and line up over the center horizontal. When the 3 pieces are together, turn the middle one over, then corner round the outer edges of the end pieces, and adhere to the card with dimensionals. Stamp the diamond butterfly from the Papillion Potpourii stamp set on basic black CS with Craft white stamp pad and punch out using the Elegant Butterfly punch. I added clear wink of stella to the butterflies.  Add 3 pearls to the body of each butterfly and adhere using mini glue dots. Stamps the 'congrats' from Happy Happenings stamp set on card front in Melon Mambo. Adhere card front to card base et viola! You have card number 8 in our series!
