Episode 127: Scrapbook Saturday! using retiring Stampin' Up! products

Hello my crafty peeps!

Welcome to another Scrapbook Saturday! Today's process video is for a 12x12 layout. I'm using a lot of retiring products so you can see how wonderful they are and try to get them before they're out of stock. I try to only show you the products that I love and can't live without. Mostly because I try to only buy products that I would purchase for my own personal use even if I wasn't a demonstrator. I'm not here to sell you anything that I don't believe in and stand behind.

The photos that I choose are from December 1st, the start of advent calendars of every shape and size. As soon as we found out that there was such a thing as a Lego advent calendar we started to get one for Ethan every year. Let me tell you these babies are hard to get a hold of! They sell out incredibly fast and then you're stuck paying outrageous prices on amazon or ebay so your kiddo can have his favorite tradition. Ask me how I know...lol. This year I waited to long and missed the Lego City calendar and had to go with the Star Wars one. It was interesting but Ethan prefers the Lego City.

Episode 125: Eastern Medallions Thinlits Dies

Hello my crafty peeps!

One of my lovely subscribers requested that I do a video on what the Eastern Medallions Thinlits look like once cut. I thought it was a great idea and was happy to film it. I had so much fun seeing what these dies could do. The more I play with this Suite the more I love it. It is absolutely gorgeous and can be used in so many ways and with different techniques. You are able to layer some of the dies to create intricate cut outs that would look nice layered over any number of colors and patterns. I'm going to have to try to make a shaker card out of this set. Maybe a few...lol.

This Suite will be available to you from May 1-31 as a bundle. You can choose from the Starter or the Premier bundle. For more info on what's included in each set click here. At the end of the video I also go through what's in each bundle. As a bonus you will receive a free item with every bundle.

Eastern Palace Suite is a new Suite in the Annual catalog that will be released June 1st. This is your opportunity to get some awesome new product early. Did I mention you'll also be receiving Stampin' Pads in 3 of the 5 new In Colors? Lots of goodness happening!

Episode 124: Scrapbook Saturday! using Stampin' Up! Foxy Friends

Hello my crafty peeps!

Are you ready for another Scrapbook Saturday? I love how this page turned out! The DSP is so cute and the little foxes are favorites of mine. This layout tells the visual story of our first onigiri, an asian rice snack. I found the recipe in a book I have about bento box lunches. There's been times on and off when I've made my kiddo bento meals. He's now at the stage where it's not cool but he'll play along if it involves making a sundae. So come and join me and see my process when putting together a layout.

Low Inventory Status

Hello my crafty peeps!
I thought that I would post a list of the products that have low inventory. Soon they will be on back-order or maybe even non-orderable status. In the case of the retiring products, it will mean they are discontinued and will no longer be available once all the inventory has been sold. I'm going to make this a weekly report from here on out. It's good information to have in case you're running low on something at home.

Episode 123: Owl card with Stampin' Up! Owl Builder Punch

Hello my crafty peeps!
I wanted to make a quick and easy card using some basic supplies. And I wanted to use some of the products that will be retiring May 31st. It's sad to see some of my much loved products go but let me tell you there's some wonderful things in the new catalog to take their place. If you haven't purchased the A Little Foxy DSP yet, you should. It's absolutely adorable. Perfect if you have a little boy in your life. Or if you love foxes. The owl builder punch makes the cutest little owl and you can punch it out from lots of different colors of cardstock and put them together with any color combo you like. I feel there is something timeless about owls. You can use them for so many occasions.
In the video I was also wanting to show the retiring 2015-2017 in colors so you'll see me use them with a blender pen to color an owl punched from whisper white. I liked the watercolor effect but decided I wanted a more solid color for the finished card. So I recorded that and added it to the end of the video.

Episode 122: Tips & Techniques Tuesday: Punching Paper Scraps

Hello my crafty peeps!
Punching paper scraps sounds a little Fight Club doesn't it? But it's not, I swear! Lol. What I'm really talking about is using paper punches on your pieces of scrap paper. This is something you can do when you want to be in your craft space but don't have time to start a project. Or if you've lost your mojo and are trying to kick start it. In the meantime you can have some pre punched embellishments to use on future projects and you've addressed the growing pile of scraps you're amassing.
The punches I'm using in today's video will be retiring May 31 or while supplies last. Be sure to visit my online store to see what retired products are on sale and still available.

Episode 119: Quick & Easy card using Stampin' Up! Builder Birdcage stamp set

Hello my crafty peeps!
Sometimes you just want to send a card to say 'Hi, I haven't forgotten about ya!' I think the card I'm showing you today does just that. Maybe it the 'hi there' sentiment... This card is a single layer or you can add the little punched butterfly for some extra dimensions. I love the watercolor technique I show you for the background. Isn't it great when you can find another use for the products you have? Especially when some of it is just sitting around in your art room collecting dust. Do not come in here with a white glove lol.

Episode 116: Paper Birdhouse using Home Sweet Home thinlits

Hello my crafty peeps!

I don't know about y'all but I'm ready for spring to arrive in New England! Come on Mother Nature. Where's the all the green and the flowers. I'm ready for the sounds of birds chirping and to sit outside with a warm breeze blowing.
In that vein, I decided it's time to do some spring themed projects. So I pulled out the Home Sweet Home bundle and started designing a birdhouse. You've seen me use this bundle to do Haunted Houses for Halloween and Gingerbread houses for Christmas. It's such a versatile set and can be used year round for so many occasions and themes. If you like making little houses, this is a perfect bundle for you to get. And when you purchase the bundle you save 10%. I know that not everyone has a Big Shot but I do feel if you do a lot of crafting it's a worth while investment. I find it to be more cost effective in the long run than punches and you can emboss with it on top of all the die cutting you can do.
Back on track, you'll also need one of the sets to stamp and punch/diecut flowers. I chose the Jar of Love bundle, another of my favorites. This too is a set that can work for many occasions and in many different projects. You've seen me make tags and shaker cards with this set. I love the font for the sentiments. And the little goldfish is just too cute! The flowers are perfect for spring and summer as well.

April Stamp of the Month Club: Suite Sayings

Hello my crafty peeps!

It's time for the next Stamp of the Month Club! I've chosen Suite Sentiments in order to further showcase all the suites we have in the Occasions catalog. And it's a great set for all occasion card making needs.
In the video tutorial, I show you how to put together the 3 cards from the free card kit you receive with any qualifying order. For my samples I used white heat embossing but knowing that not everyone has the materials for this I used Craft White stampin' pad. Curious as to how much it is for a heat emboss starter kit? So was I. I put together some recommended packages as different price points. All prices are before tax and shipping. The biggest expense is the heat tool but this is a wise investment. Not only can you use it for different emboss techniques, you can also use it to speed up drying time. Want to try out Shrink Plastic projects, you can use your heat tool for that as well.

Complete Kit: $69.50
129053 Heat Tool $30
102283 Versamark $8.50
103083 Embossing Buddy $6
109130 Clear emboss powder $5
141636 Copper emboss powder $5
109129 Gold emboss powder $5
109131 Silver emboss powder $5
109132 White emboss powder $5

Basic Kit: $54.50
129053 Heat Tool $30
102283 Versamark $8.50
103083 Embossing Buddy $6
109132 White emboss powder $5
one of the metallic powders $5

What you would need for the card kit (optional): 49.50
129053 Heat Tool $30
102283 Versamark $8.50
103083 Embossing Buddy $6
109132 White emboss powder $5

As you can see once the initial investment of heat tool, versamark, and embossing buddy are made it's very inexpensive to add to your kit.

Now how do you qualify for the free card kit? Simply place a minimum $35 order before taxes and shipping in my online store and use the host code: WEGN22D7

If your order will be over $150 do not use the host code. The card kit will be sent to you automatically. This will allow you to use any Stampin' Rewards for additional free products on your order.
Below I'll list all the recommended supplies to complete the card kit. You will need to purchase the stamp set as I am unable to stamp images for you due to copyright.

If you have any question please feel free to contact me.
